Lady at the Cafe
My latest etching is based on a drawing I did a few years ago of a really really old lady at the cafe. (Notice, she is in her bedroom slippers.) I wanted to add a fortune teller mystic to the etching and changed the original drawing a bit to add an air of mystery. Anyhow, I thought that I’d share the evolution from drawing to first line etch to aquatint print below:
The etching class has been a great bunch of fun but also has limited my ability to produce other drawings. Suddenly I am removed from the hour sketch to hours of tiny details!
